MineralsEd and the Association for Mineral Exploration (AME) are working together to bring students to Mineral Exploration Roundup 2017, AME’s annual conference in Vancouver (January 23). Roundup is a premier gathering of exploration geologists, prospectors, and many other related mining, consulting and investment people who play a role in finding and developing mineral resources. This conference provides a forum for learning about new exploration techniques, to showcase new discoveries, and to find financial backing for new prospects.

Secondary students will be accompanied for the day by a volunteer post-secondary student or industry guide who will share information on their backgrounds, mining-related programs, and work experiences. Student guests will also hear presentations by young people who work in a variety of fields in the industry, and by a seasoned mining career advisor and mentor, Patrick McAndless.
